How to Make the Most out of your Seafood:

Lobster

Fresh Maine lobster is a fabulous ingredient. One that is so versatile in the kitchen and lends itself nicely as a main feature for any breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Lobster really is a quick cooking fix for easy and fast food prepping, trust me. Don’t let those tough outer shells trick you. Adding lobster into your weekly meal planning will shave hours off of your monthly meal preparation (and doing so deliciously, I might add).

With these top tips you’ll be lounging with lobster lunching, dining on lobster dinners and basking in lobster themed breakfasts.

Prep made easier with Cameron’s Seafood…

There are three lobster options provided by Cameron’s Seafood, and each one makes prepping and meal planning a little more easier.

Our whole lobsters range in size from 1 to 1 1/2lbs. They are caught fresh in the wild waters of Maine by a family of Maine fishermen. They come shipped to your door already cooked, steamed to perfection! All that’s left is reheating and eating…how much more easier could that be?

Well, taking it a step further…Cameron’s Seafood offers lobster meat and lobster tails. Each shipped frozen for a quick thaw, cook or reheat (the lobster meat comes already cooked as well!!). Taking even more steps out of the process by not having to crack and pick. Options abound!

Let’s get hungry….

Lobster for Breakfast

Endless possibilities when adding protein packed lobster to your breakfast arsenal. Think of all those recipes that call for bacon or breakfast sausage and simply sub in lobster (ooooooh how tasty those recipes would be).

My personal favorites are things like a simple egg scramble with lobster meat folded in, topped on a nice slice of toasted brioche. BLT’s (for those that do without the bacon) with lobster additions. Frittatas, casseroles, potato hashes…all the pot luck go-to’s now elevated with the addition of sweet sweet lobster. Breakfast tacos or burritos with eggs scrambled with lobster or forgo the boring bagel toppers and opt in for something sooo much better…lobster.

Don’t even get me started on how good lobster is on leftover latkes in the morning.

Lobster for Lunch

Let’s think outside the lobster roll box shall we. Lunching with lobster just sounds so much better than the typical routines we follow (and jealous co-workers to boot).

Lobster topped salads, and that combination is endless: greek, chef, caesar, cobb…all would benefit from a lobster upgrade. Sub out that ground beef for lobster burgers, add lobster in to your favorite grilled cheese sandwiches. Top lobster on white pizzas, tacos or macaroni and cheese.

Or for a more healthier approach, add lobster as your protein go-to for quinoa bowls, poke bowls or buddha bowls.

Lobster for Dinner

This is where lobster really shines. Aside from the classic serving of lobster paired with melted butter, think of lobster as you would chicken, pork or beef.

Italian traditional recipes are yearning for lobster. Think risotto, spicy arrabbiata pasta, lasagna, lobster alfredo or lobster scampi.

Home spun classic like pot pies, noodle casseroles, stews, mashed potatoes or dumplings are all made modern with lobster.

Lobster deploys well with other international flavors, especially asian cuisine or asian fusion cuisine. Sweet and sour lobster, bang bang lobster, fried rice with lobster…pho, pad thai, ramen…all scrumptious.

Dining healthy? Lobster should be your top pick. Great with zoodles or stuffed peppers and zucchini boats. Fabulous with sautéed vegetables (asparagus, spinach, tomatoes, corn and peppers are my favorite lobster paired veggies).
