Crabby Cream Cheese Spread 

Serves 4-6

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg 8oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 teaspoons Old Bay Seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives chopped
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce optional
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 8 oz Cameron’s Lump Crab Meat drained

Instructions

  1. Place cream cheese, Old Bay, chives, lemon juice, hot sauce, and Worcestershire sauce in a large bowl, using an electric hand mixer or whisk, blend until combined.
  2. Add the crab meat to the bowl and gently stir to combine.
  3. Spread crabby cream cheese over bagels or toast and serve with your favorite savory bagel fixings.
  4. Crabby cream cheese will keep, covered and refrigerated, for 3-4 days. You can make the cream cheese base (sans crab meat) a few days ahead of time but, once you add the perishable crab meat, the shelf life is limited to just those 3-4 days.
  5. Optional Toppers: These are some of our favorite bagel and toast toppers to pair with this sensational spread. We love; tomato slices, baby lettuces, sliced cucumbers, capers, sliced or chopped red onions, sliced radishes, dill, parsley, and a little lemon or lime for a squeeze of citrus.
