Quick and easy marinade

makes 1 cup (good for marinating 1lb. of seafood)
Prep Time 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons chipotle peppers in adobo minced (canned)
  • 4 garlic cloves peeled and minced
  • 1 lime juiced
  • 1 orange juiced
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon flaky salt

Instructions

  1. Whisk together marinade ingredients in a medium bowl until blended.
  2. Place seafood in a plastic zipper bag or casserole dish and coat seafood with 3/4 cup marinade. Cover and refrigerate.
  3. Refrigerate seafood for 1 hour before grilling. After seafood has been grilled and cooked brush with reserved 1/4 cup of marinade before serving.
