Keto, Paleo and Wole30 Crab Lettuce Wraps

We’ve all seen lettuce wraps dotting menus of casual restaurants and filling our social media feeds with tempting imagery. If you haven’t made them for yourself, let me be the first to convince you that lettuce wraps are easy to make, quick to assemble and if made with the right ingredients, healthy.

This Keto, Paleo and Wole30 Crab Lettuce Wrap Recipe is designed to fit into any and all of your diet needs. Whether you’re keeping Paleo, Keto or Whole30 and being that buns are off limits a combination of lettuce or cabbage fits the bill while adding a nice crunch.

Pro Tip: If packing for a brown bag lunch, keep the components separate so that everything will stay crisp and not get soggy.

Keto, Paleo and Wole30 Crab Lettuce Wraps

Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 5 minutes
Total Time 15 minutes
Servings 4 people

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil or another approved oil
  • 1 cup red bell peppers diced
  • 1/2 cup shallots peeled and diced
  • 3 garlic cloves peeled and minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger peeled and minced
  • 1/4 cup coconut aminos
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 lb. Cameron’s Seafood Jumbo Lump Crab Meat drained
  • 4-8 napa cabbage leaves

toppings:

  • shredded carrots
  • sprouts
  • shredded red cabbage
  • cilantro sprigs
  • chopped cashews or peanuts

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet heat oil over medium high heat and saute peppers, shallots, garlic and ginger for 2 minutes or until tender.
  2. Deglaze pan with coconut aminos, rice vinegar and lime juice and stir. Simmer for 1 minute and stir in crab meat.
  3. Heat for 2 minutes or until hot. Spoon mixture into napa cabbage leaves and top with carrots, sprouts, red cabbage, cilantro and chopped nuts before serving.
