I just ordered a half a bushel of large male crabs. They are expected to arrive Saturday after reading the reviews I decided to try them. I will give you all an update once I receive them. Can’t t wait to try them. I have been craving for some Maryland crabs. For the price I paid I do hope they are delicious

Two days ago I wrote an honest 2 star review. The next morning I received a call from Scotty at Cameron’s. I explained to him the multi reasons for my review. I told him that I had been a customer for years and never had a problem. To make up for the unacceptable crabs he offered to send to me a dozen of their jumbo crab at their expense. Explaining that I didn’t want free crab or a refund he insisted on sending me the crabs. Well they came today - a dozen jumbo crabs. I grew up in Maryland and have eaten tons of hard shelled crabs and without reservation these are the best crabs I have ever eaten. They were huge and stuffed with beautiful Maryland crabmeat. I have so much respect for this business. In this day in time it is so unusual to find an establishment that cares about their customers and stands behind their product. Last week I wrote a glowing review and stated that Cameron’s “never let me down”. Well unfortunately the dozen extra large male crab were very disappointing and I felt let down for the first time. The meat in three of the crab was very mealy like it had been steamed more than one time (I toss those crabs after tasting); two of the crab had a broken/crushed hard shell and only four of the 13 had the claws entact. Yes, extra claws were thrown in the bag. Also, the crabs were filled with water, so much so that it leaked through the cardboard box. These things have never happened before with Cameron’s and certainly didn’t happen with my order last week. Sorry I had to write this review! Rita Pleasants
I recently hosted a Saturday gathering. My Wife and I normally go to a local seafood restaurant when we're in the mood for steamed blue crab. However, they do not sell them for carry-out on weekends. So, on Thursday I called and spoke with Scottie. He informed me that Colossal Males were in stock when purchasing for home delivery. Fortunately, he suggested I place the order that day for a Friday arrival to ensure delivery for the 2PM Saturday event. He said shipments can arrive as late as 8PM on the day of delivery. He also recommended leaving them in the box until we were ready to eat. I was slightly apprehensive because my preference was to pick them up at the Central Avenue location. But they don't readily stock Colossals for in-store pickup. So I proceeded with the order for 3-dozen Colossal Jumbo Males. When I received an adjusted UPS notification the next day (Friday) from a 12Noon-4PM arrival to a 5:30-8:30, I almost hit the panic button. But they arrived around 7:45. Bravo Bravo Bravo!!! They were neatly packed inside doubled brown paper bags, wrapped with a plastic bag, and surrounded with about 8 gel ice packs. Everything is placed in a styrofoam cooler, with the lid sealed with heavy duty electrical tape around the cooler. It's then placed in a shipping box that identifies the box as insulated and the contents as "perishable, rush delivery." The crabs far exceeded our expectations. They were definitely Jumbos. The seasoning is exceptional, and penetrates the whole crab. Our guests were just as pleased as my Wife and I. We may have found our new go-to for steamed crabs!
I ordered the largest size of crabs (Colossal), and having lived in Maryland for many years and being very familiar with these blue crabs, I would say that the size of the crabs were medium, at best. There are 2 actual sizes between medium and what I should have received. The crab was good, though. They also did not send any mallets or utensils, and when you don't live in Maryland, those things are not readily available!

I recently purchased 2 pounds of your crab meat. My mother and her family were natives of Baltimore, we always got the best crabs and crab cakes when we would go visit family and of course, bring some home. I live in Virginia I used to be able to find good crab to make crabcakes for my family‘s birthdays, every one of them every time, they look forward to it. For about the past five years, I have struggled to find anything that even resembles real Maryland blue crab meat. I made my son’s crab cakes Sunday with the crab meat I purchased from you and they were so excited that they tasted exactly like the ones I always used to make! Honestly, I think you saved their birthday dinners since I was considering stopping altogether because I could not find good authentic crab meat. I will say I was a little apprehensive purchasing online and then you personally phoned to tell me my order, wouldn’t be next day. Not only was the crab meat wonderful but that type of service is unheard of anymore, and I really appreciate it! Thank you for setting a standard and I hope you never stray from it!
I'm sad to say that my recent order from Cameron's wasn't good! I order Snow Crab Legs and a half dozen of Blue Crab. The snow crabs were delicious (chef's kiss) but the blue crab on the other hand 🤢🤢🤢. I got through one and threw the rest away. It tasted old, it definitely didn't taste like the ones from my previous order. They also seemed hollow and almost each one had a hold in it's shell which is how I could tell they didn't have much meat. UPDATE... I received a new order of crabs today 3/18/25, I just finished eating 4 of them and they were scrumptious. I had to come and update my review. You guys have redeemed yourselves. I had a UPS delivery problem with my Cameron order of Dungeness Crab legs & my attempts to settle the situation with UPS was useless including a call hangup. When I called Cameron, the matter was settled immediately & my crabs were delivered within 24 hours of my call. My dinner party guests were delighted & the crab was the hit of the party. Wasn’t sure what to expect ordering seafood online, but wow this was legit! The Maryland blue crabs were fresh, well-seasoned, and full of meat. The crab cakes were some of the best I’ve had mostly crab, not a bunch of filler. Shipping was fast, everything arrived cold, and the quality was top-notch. Definitely ordering again!

I ordered female crab and had 2 day shipping. When I received my crabs they were Frozen Frozen. I heated them up in my pot with my beer and vinegar and began to get them. OMG they were so old and nasty. I’ve had crabs shipped plenty of time and none were never like this. I paid $140 for them and threw all 12 of them in the trash. I called to see if they would send me back some type of refund or crabs but no one never answered every time I called. So Update. I have received a call back from Scotty from Cameron’s and he made everything right. I am happy customer. He and I worked it out and I’m Satisfied. Thank you Cameron’s
Cameron's Seafood is just the best! We've ordered from them thrice. Our daughter lives in TX and can't get great MD seafood. So, we ship from Cameron's and she is always wonderfully excited about the package when it arrives. It's always packed so that through the travel from MD to TX, it is still frozen and ready to cook or freeze. We appreciate the time and attention paid to make sure the product is outstanding. We will keep ordering from Cameron's! You should also!

After a disappointing delivery on Christmas Eve and leaving a review, I was surprised to get a personal phone call from Scotty at Cameron's Seafood. He listened to my issues and immediately sent out a replacement for our crab cakes and crabs. These were so much better than our first order. For one, they weren't frozen solid when we received them. The ice packs kept them nice and cold, whereas the dry ice from the first order seemed to freeze everything solid. The crab cakes were nice and firm instead of watery, and the crab meat in the crabs was whiter, a little more meaty, and sweeter than the greyish watery meat from the first batch. We were much more pleased with this order and pleasantly surprised that they were so concerned that we were happy with what we purchased. Thank you to Scotty for the attention. Not many places care like this anymore.

I ordered 12 colossal crabs to be shipped to my son in upstate NY. There was a problem with 4 of the crabs. I reported this right away, and the way they made this right was absolutely incredible. They've earned a customer for life. What customer service.

Shipping was perfect. A bit disappointing that everything arrived frozen solid when the website says “ready to eat.” Set the shipping to arrive the day we were to eat it and that didn’t happen. As for taste, shrimp was really good, crab cakes were a bit soggy and not much flavor, crab bisque was good but needed more old bay flavor, crabs were ok but smaller than expected and not a lot of meat. Texture was a bit soft probably because of freezing. Not bad, but not what I was expecting. Maybe they were a bit too busy with the holiday season. I’m not sure I want to try again because of price for the quality we received. Hard to recommend with our experience. We are very familiar with good Maryland crabs so we’re disappointed in this order.
I am from Maryland, and was disappointed to receive what I thought was going to be fresh crabmeat, frozen. Freezing changes the cell structure of fresh crab. There was wording on the picture that informed me that the product ships frozen, and I missed that. Lots of $$ for a fresh frozen product. But Camerons was nice enough to give me a refund. What would have normally been a delightful experience turned sour. Thank you Camerons for helping with a refund.
