Instructions

  • Fill a large pot with salted water and bring to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, add the pasta noodles, and cook according to the instructions on the package. Reserve ½ cup of the pasta water before draining. Set the cooked noodles and reserved pasta water aside.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the shallot, garlic, lemon zest, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes to the skillet, and sauté for 2 minutes.
  • Add the bisque and whisk to combine with the veggies and seasoning. Bring to a low simmer and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the parmesan cheese, whisk to combine, and continue to cook until the cheese has melted.
  • Add the cooked pasta noodles and crab meat to the skillet and carefully toss to coat and combine. Add a little of the reserved pasta water if the sauce begins to get too thick. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes more, just until the noodles and crab meat have reheated. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  • Divide the pasta between plates and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
