I live in upstate New York and my order arrived within two days as promised. The food was still frozen. The food was impressive. The quality was there. We enjoyed every bite of our seafood. It includes instructions on how to cook your meal . I would buy again!

Delicious. We ordered scallops and crabmeat. We have ordered them in the past and were really happy with the quality. We used to order crabmeat from Phillips but the last time we ordered it we realized that the crabmeat wasn't from Maryland crabs from the label. Maryland crabmeat tastes unique and can't be compared to crabmeat from foreign countries. I was very disappointed that Phillips would do such a thing. That was the last time we ordered anything from them. We froze the crabmeat and had the scallops for Ester. We lived in Maryland for years so we know good seafood when we taste it. Can't wait to order the steamed crabs. Keep up the good work. You have customers for life.
This would be my 2nd time ordering from Cameron's Seafood. I lived in Maryland for 5 years and I was skeptical of ordering frozen crabs. The 1st time I ordered live crabs, this time around I ordered 2 half bushels. I gifted one and kept one for myself. They were well seasoned and a nice size. After heating them up I couldn't tell that they were frozen. They tasted fresh. I recommend. Unless I'm in Maryland, this is the only place I will order my crabs. Thank you Cameron's!!
We are first time buyers and we were really excited about the bushel of large male crabs we ordered. Although the crabs were tasty we were highly disappointed in the sizes. More than half of the order were small/standard size. We paid for the premium large and expected to receive what we paid for. Cameron should have charged us for standard size and not large. We did place a new order today for the premium Large female bushel and hope the crabs are true to size.

Your order came in while blue crabs were still out of season, which means sizing can be more inconsistent than we'd like. That's not an excuse, just some helpful context. Peak season kicks off mid to late April, so your next order should be a different experience.
That said, you're right that if more than half ran small, that's not what you paid for, and we've taken care of it on our end. We appreciate you giving us another shot and please don't hesitate to reach out if anything comes up!

I had a bad half bushel of crabs. Spoke to the manager and they were able to give me his direct number and refund my crabs as first time customers. I was able to understand that the crabs being bad wasn't their fault, but I heavily appreciate them setting up a refund to me for my mom's 79th birthday.

Crabs were superb for 3 to 4 times. My last batch were smelly and gills were too dark to be fresh. I want to order so bad but I want live fresh caught crabs. Are they in or do I have to drive all the way to Baltimore from Virginia Beach.

We are currently still in the off-season at the moment, it will begin on August 1st officially and we should be getting some fresh crabs in from the Bay shortly after that. You can always email me at contact@cameronsseafood.com before you order to check if they are in season. I hope this helps!

I just ordered a half a bushel of large male crabs. They are expected to arrive Saturday after reading the reviews I decided to try them. I will give you all an update once I receive them. Two days ago I wrote an honest 2 star review. The next morning I received a call from Scotty at Cameron’s. I explained to him the multi reasons for my review. I told him that I had been a customer for years and never had a problem. To make up for the unacceptable crabs he offered to send to me a dozen of their jumbo crab at their expense. Explaining that I didn’t want free crab or a refund he insisted on sending me the crabs. Well they came today - a dozen jumbo crabs. I grew up in Maryland and have eaten tons of hard shelled crabs and without reservation these are the best crabs I have ever eaten. They were huge and stuffed with beautiful Maryland crabmeat. I have so much respect for this business. In this day in time it is so unusual to find an establishment that cares about their customers and stands behind their product. Last week I wrote a glowing review and stated that Cameron’s “never let me down”. Well unfortunately the dozen extra large male crab were very disappointing and I felt let down for the first time. The meat in three of the crab was very mealy like it had been steamed more than one time (I toss those crabs after tasting); two of the crab had a broken/crushed hard shell and only four of the 13 had the claws entact. Yes, extra claws were thrown in the bag. Also, the crabs were filled with water, so much so that it leaked through the cardboard box. These things have never happened before with Cameron’s and certainly didn’t happen with my order last week. Sorry I had to write this review! Rita Pleasants
I recently hosted a Saturday gathering. My Wife and I normally go to a local seafood restaurant when we're in the mood for steamed blue crab. However, they do not sell them for carry-out on weekends. So, on Thursday I called and spoke with Scottie. He informed me that Colossal Males were in stock when purchasing for home delivery. Fortunately, he suggested I place the order that day for a Friday arrival to ensure delivery for the 2PM Saturday event. He said shipments can arrive as late as 8PM on the day of delivery. He also recommended leaving them in the box until we were ready to eat. I was slightly apprehensive because my preference was to pick them up at the Central Avenue location. But they don't readily stock Colossals for in-store pickup. So I proceeded with the order for 3-dozen Colossal Jumbo Males. When I received an adjusted UPS notification the next day (Friday) from a 12Noon-4PM arrival to a 5:30-8:30, I almost hit the panic button. But they arrived around 7:45. Bravo Bravo Bravo!!! They were neatly packed inside doubled brown paper bags, wrapped with a plastic bag, and surrounded with about 8 gel ice packs. Everything is placed in a styrofoam cooler, with the lid sealed with heavy duty electrical tape around the cooler. It's then placed in a shipping box that identifies the box as insulated and the contents as "perishable, rush delivery." The crabs far exceeded our expectations. They were definitely Jumbos. The seasoning is exceptional, and penetrates the whole crab. Our guests were just as pleased as my Wife and I. We may have found our new go-to for steamed crabs!
I ordered the largest size of crabs (Colossal), and having lived in Maryland for many years and being very familiar with these blue crabs, I would say that the size of the crabs were medium, at best. There are 2 actual sizes between medium and what I should have received. The crab was good, though. They also did not send any mallets or utensils, and when you don't live in Maryland, those things are not readily available!

I recently purchased 2 pounds of your crab meat. My mother and her family were natives of Baltimore, we always got the best crabs and crab cakes when we would go visit family and of course, bring some home. I live in Virginia I used to be able to find good crab to make crabcakes for my family‘s birthdays, every one of them every time, they look forward to it. For about the past five years, I have struggled to find anything that even resembles real Maryland blue crab meat. I made my son’s crab cakes Sunday with the crab meat I purchased from you and they were so excited that they tasted exactly like the ones I always used to make! Honestly, I think you saved their birthday dinners since I was considering stopping altogether because I could not find good authentic crab meat. I will say I was a little apprehensive purchasing online and then you personally phoned to tell me my order, wouldn’t be next day. Not only was the crab meat wonderful but that type of service is unheard of anymore, and I really appreciate it! Thank you for setting a standard and I hope you never stray from it!
