Making the Most out of your Seafood:
Shrimp are an ‘all day-every day’ ingredient option for meal planning and prepping. These crustaceans are an all-star protein substitute for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks…Although, I’d hold off on shrimp for dessert….maybe….But you get my point, superbly adaptable and easy peasy on all culinary levels.
Not so shrimpy….
Cameron’s Seafood provides the necessary ingredients needed to accomplish all manner of shrimp related recipes. All fresh caught in warm gulf waters (the perfect shrimp environ) and massive, all rank in the jumbo category…these are BIG shrimp (as oxymoronic as that sounds).
On super easy mode we have the already cooked variety; Shrimp Cocktail and Spiced Shrimp. On pretty easy mode we have the Crab Cake Stuffed Shrimp (bonus!) and Fresh Shrimp. We’ll use these offerings to navigate our menu planning, for swift execution and delicious results.
Shrimp for Breakfast…
Yes! Shrimp for breakfast is a thing…and it’s so much easier than cooking sausage or frying bacon…trust me!
Think of shrimp as a filling option for your breakfast burritos or tacos (great with peeled spiced shrimp). Chop and toss leftover shrimp cocktail into your omelets and frittatas. Or cook up crab cake stuffed shrimp for a memorable Sunday brunch- one for the record books!
Don’t forget simple egg scrambles, breakfast bowls or shrimpy toppers for toast (with or without avocado).
There are probably hundreds if not thousands of shrimp for lunch ideas out there including salad and shrimp on salad options out there…
Mayo based shrimp salads, cobb salad, pasta salad, tex mex, greek, cold Thai-style noodle salad….oodles of options. Even sweeter flavored, fruit forward salads pair well with shrimp as a protein-think mango, papaya, pineapple and coconut! Spiced shrimp, fresh shrimp (cooked to your liking with all manner of marinades and seasonings) or cocktail shrimp work best.
Mix up the salad routine by wrapping your favorite recipes in a tortilla or stuffing into a pita. I also love grilling garlic naan bread and topping with my favorite shrimp salads.
Snacking on some Shrimp…
This is a big tasty option for those looking to pack on the protein or following the popular Keto or Paleo diets. Shrimp snacks!
Big flavor bites using shrimp as toppers for cucumber appetizers, shrimp ceviche for chip dipping, shrimp filled taquitos, shrimp flavored dip for vegetable crudités and the ever popular bacon wrapped shrimp (my personal fav). Cocktail shrimp and peeled spiced shrimp make the best snacks.
Dinner ❤️ Shrimp
The most popular meal category for all shrimp lovers…shrimp for dinner.
We have the usual scrumptious suspects like shrimp fajitas, shrimp fried rice, tortellinis, raviolis…all the pastas.
And for a little more adventurous shrimp dining try; shrimp enchiladas, grilled tandoori style shrimp or shrimp tikka masala, buffalo shrimp, shrimp gumbo, shrimp PIZZA(!), pad thai, pho or lo mein, paella, General Tso’s shrimp…and, as always, the perfect surf to your turf.
