The world of crabs has become so complicated with product coming in from Venezuela, China, and Indonesia that you never really know what kind of crab meat you’re truly getting. That’s where the True Blue program comes in to help you identify the REAL Maryland Blue Crab products from the cheaper, less palatable alternatives.

Cameron’s Seafood is proud to be a True Blue certified partner which means our invoices are audited annually to ensure  we sell 100% authentic Maryland crabs, crab meat and, crab cakes.

What’s So Special About Maryland Crabs?

To survive winter, Chesapeake Bay crabs have to build up extra fat stores which gives them that sweet, buttery flavor you won’t find in other types of crabs or in blue crabs from other waters.

Premium Quality Crab Cakes

The world’s best crab cakes start with the best crab meat in the world. Our family uses premium Maryland Jumbo Lump crab meat to hand-make each of our crab cakes. Most retailers who claim to be selling “Maryland-Style Crab Cakes” use low-cost crab meat imported from Asia but still charge a premium price for a lesser product. We choose to support our local economy and crabbers and insist on only using the highest available quality of crab meat.

Processing Facilities

Since 1985, Cameron’s Seafood has maintained excellent processing facilities and state health department compliance. We have our own crab processing facility in St. Mary’s County, a soft shell facility, and large warehouse fulfillment centers to properly handle eCommerce orders.

Our facilities are inspected and approved by the USDA or a comparable agency. Each order is manually checked with advanced technology systems to ensure all your items are included so your box ships on time, every time.

The majority of our employees have have been with us for over 20 years. Our employees are mostly family and friends that live, breathe and eat Maryland seafood.
