HOW TO PREPARE YOUR SAMPLER

CRABS

Eat, reheat or refrigerate crabs immediately upon receipt. There is no appreciable loss of quality from reheating.

  • Place a steamer basket in a large pot with enough water to reach the bottom of the basket.
  • Once the water is boiling, place the crabs inside, season and cover.
  • Steam the crabs for five minutes or until the meat is hot throughout.

If you don't have a steamer basket on hand you can also reheat the crabs in the oven for approximately 10 minutes at 375°F.

 

CRAB CAKES

Stovetop:

  • Heat the pan on medium heat and butter the surface.
  • Cook the crab cakes for 6 min (4oz.) or 10 min (8oz.) turning halfway, or until golden brown.

Baking:

  • Preheat the oven to 425ºF and place the crab cakes on a nonstick baking sheet.
  • Broil for approximately 5-8min (4oz.) or 10-12 min (8oz.), turning halfway, or until golden brown.

* Crab cakes may contain some pieces of shell. This is normal and to be expected with hand picked crab meat.

 

SPICED SHRIMP

  • Enjoy cold or place the steamed shrimp into a steamer over a pot of boiling water for a maximum of two minutes.
  • Remove the steamed shrimp as soon as they are heated through. 

CRABMEAT BISQUE

We recommend reheating our soups on a stovetop to retain moisture and ensures that it will be heated all the way through.

  • Pour the soup into a thick-bottomed saucepan.
  • Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally until thoroughly heated through.
  • Remove from heat and serve with your favorite crackers or crusty bread.

HOW WE SHIP YOUR SEAFOOD

  • When preparing your order we always use the freshest seafood available.
  • Your order is carefully cooked and chilled to prepare it for packaging.
  • Each product is individually packaged and labeled for easy identification.
  • We hand place each item inside a reusable styrofoam cooler lined with frozen gel packs for fresh products or dry ice for frozen products. We put coolant equal to half of the product weight; twice the industry standard.
  • We stress tested all our packaging against heat, cold, drops, leakage and water damage to ensure your food arrives perfectly chilled between 34 to 37 degrees and in the same condition as it left our facility.
